(1) An account is given of the sea- and land-birds observed during a period covering most of February and the first week of March 1948 at and around the islands of the Tristan da Cunha Group. All together sixteen different species were observed. ( 2) An account is given of the sea-and land-birds seen at and near Gough Island during a short visit in the last week of February 1948. Also in this case sixteen different species were seen.
