Pink-footed Goose Anser brachyrhynchus = Anser fabalis brachyrhynchus The Danish Vildtbiologisk Station (Ka10) in collaboration the National Institute for Nature Management (RIN) started with the marking of pink-footed geese colored leg bands. Each goose is the one leg with a simple metal ring and a ring given to other leg a large color ring (dark blue, light green or red) on which an inscription is white. This inscription consists of two characters above the other, which repeated three times around the ring, so that in a glance (through a telescope at least) the code read be. For the code letters and numbers is used. During the last winter (1987/88) are available for this research in the Netherlands 17 pink-footed geese ringed in April 1988 and another 216 pink-footed geese in Denmark.
