ALON D (1995) Actualities: 1995 Autumn Migration Survey, Israel. LIMOSA 68 (2): 87-87.

During autumn, over a period of 45 days, some 806 000 migrating birds were counted passing over Israel, including 580 000 raptors of 30 different species, 190 000 White Storks and 36 000 White Pelicans. We would like to invite you to join an international team of birdwatchers and be a part of the annual Raptor, Stork and Pelican Migration Survey. The survey will take place at the northern valleys of Israel. During that time you will experience the busiest migration route in the western Palearctic. Minimum participation period is four weeks. We will provide lodging and food during the survey. The cost of travel to and from Israel is to be covered by the participant.
