BECKING JH (1992) Dutch Ornithological Union: In Memoriam - JG Kooiman (1905 - 1989). LIMOSA 65 (4): 176-177.

On April 28, 1989 died at age 84 at Versailles Gerald January (Hans) Kooiman. With him was a skilled Dutch-Indian ornithologist of the old guard and a great expert in the field of East Javanese birds gone.
