PRINS TG (1995) White-billed Diver Gavia adamsii in partial breeding plumage found on the island ofTexel. LIMOSA 68 (2): 77-78.

An oiled adult male White-billed Diver found dead on the island of Texel, 15 April 1994, and now in the collection of the Zoological Museum Amsterdam, constituted the 28th record for The Netherlands, the seventh record of an adult, and the third record outside the period October-March. The bird had moulted its body feathers into summer plumage but head and neck were still in winter plumage and in active moult, the tail was new and all flight-feathers had been replaced and were growing. There are now 13 specimens of White-billed Diver collected in The Netherlands in Dutch collections. Yellow-billed Loon Gavia adamsii
